1. How does it fit? Does it look really good or does it looked tacked on?
2. Was it easy to install? Anything I should know about installing?
3. Most importantly, does it stay on?
After READING the info on the website they are selling just the emblem with two options of installation, hardware or epoxy. Either way it looks very easy to install. Should look pretty good once completed.
If it's the whole thing, 1st put a cloth over the engine compartment. There is soooooo much dirt under there and you WILL loose one of those black plastic fastners inside the engine and spend
an hour looking.
Be very careful pulling the hood vent, the little plastic tabs can snap off with enough force .
Easy to install. Take the pad off and clean the area real good. I just used the epoxy and set some weight on it overnight. Mine has been on over a year no problems. I think it looks good.
I installed a similar emblem on my C5 - it had 3M tape and pins that poked through the liner then bent inwards to make it tight...two years and it has never moved...(see pic)
Please post pictures BEFORE and AFTER its installed...
Bob, I suggest you pick up a set of cheap trim tools from Harbor Freight ($8) if you don't have any. The under side of the vent is held on by a couple Torx screws. I didn't have any trouble with the clips like bankers did, guess I was lucky. When you pull the push pins be careful, and endeavor to bring them out as straight as possible. They break easily. If I had to gauge it I would set it at a "one beer" job. EZPZ

Thank, aleady have a set a trim tools just waiting for delivery of the part from Amazon. I’m thinking of changing those blanket clips to be in chrome ones like the way I had them on my C5.

My hood liner is a bit stained, so I'm thinking while its off the car shoot it with some flate black paint.
Anyone ever try that. I did it on my C5 and came out very good. Make the fabric a little stiffer, but who care about that. I'm not wearing it as a shirt
I think I had to trim one down to fit tighter also it is easier to remove and replace the liner with extra hands.

Arent those heads plastic? If they are, I bought the same ones for my C5 and the chrome cap actually came off on about 5 of them... Im not trying to be insulting, but if they are plastic, then do NOT buy them, they are cheap crap and the heads are way too small.
Im looking for the ones that are made of metal, those will last forever.
Thanks, Bankers1 for the advice especially putting a blanket over the engine bay to prevent those black plugs from getting lost in the engine compartment.
With that said this looks REALLY good and fits nicely. Its not hard to install but to get the best results you should remove the insulator from the hood. Take your time and don't rush the installation process. Handle the insulator carefully because if you bend it, you could put a crease in it.
