We've loved our transparent tops for the last 20 years, but they can get warm in the summer. A baseball cap has always been enough for me, but one time I was flying an airplane with an untinted bubble canopy and no helmet or hat over the desert. Had to put my chart on my head to get some shade, take it down every few minutes and re-figure out where I was.

Also agree. The inside lining on mine hangs down a little bit cutting the headroom If you're over, say, 6'3" your head may touch. Product really works and looks good.

I've just noticed in the last week or two that the lining on mine has started to drop. I'm gonna need to get that fixed in the next few days, but other than that it's been great owning the suction cup model. It cuts the heat tremendously.

Having dealt with clear T-tops before, when I ordered my C5, I only ordered the painted top(and it was never taken off the car in 10.5 years of ownership).

When I purchased my C6 Z06, I didn't have to concern myself as it ONLY came with a painted non-removable roof.

Love the car but it has the transparent top and it does get a little warm on my bald head. Whoo, sunscreen and hat days.

Question. Are all suction cup head liners the same ? Do you have a preference in liners ?

The transparent top is UV treated. You may get hot but will not get a sunburn through it. No need for sunscreen unless you take the top off.

Another vote for the liner, I love mine. Amazon purchase as well, but the vendor was a forum vendor selling on Amazon. Works amazing and should come standard with the transparent top for the summer heat.

I ordered this product from this vendor. Got it yesterday. Installed today. Easy.

The product is pretty good for $50.
I thought suction cup products would be clumsy and have a negative head room effect - this has no headroom effect.
It smooths out pretty good and - face it - you don't look up at it when you drive.
Only telltale when you look at the roof now from outside is that you can't see inside - otherwise totally invisible.

I just came back from a spin in 98 degree coastal GA weather.
I can't say for sure but I believe the temps were a bit lower.
Proof will be some time soon when it sits out in the afternoon sun.

It will come off in late fall and go back on next May.

Two thumbs up

You talked me into it. Found one online for $95 free shipping. Although I have to say that the car has really stayed pretty cool. My head though gets a little warm.
