is it just me, or does anyone else here find that they hit the trunk release latch getting into the car. I swear about 1/3 - 1/2 the time I get into the car my knee hits the button and pops the hatch 😡. I really wish it was located somewhere else

There have been whole threads of discussion on this. It used to bug me no end; however, I find that after about the first 500 miles I stopped hitting it at all. Go figure.
My seat goes all the way back to the rear wall when I turn off the car and open the door. When I get in, it doesn't come forward until I hit the start button. I'm also only 5'6" so I don't have long legs to ascerbate the problem. A few months of ownership and you'll miss the darn button.

Thats a great point that I didn’t think about. I have a 1LT so no easy exit seat function.

One of the main reasons for getting a 2LT (or 3LT) IMO is memory seats! I'm the only one driving the car so it's not for two drivers it's entry and exit.
I have my seat go all the way back, fully up front and back and steering wheel fully up when I open the door to leave. Makes entry and exit easy.
When I get the mail from the box in front of the house I often leave the car running and seat in my driving position. That is seat forward, rear down, front up and steering wheel rim just at the upper dash pad height. It's a PIA to get in and out! Would not want to do that all the time! That and HUD are the two biggest reasons I would not get a 1LT.
In fact some days just don't want to bother so with the car running, press the unlock button, exit button so the seat/wheel go where programmed. When I get back in have to hold my #1 button to put all back to my driving position.
For anyone making a decision to spend the extra money, my other reasons in order of importance TO ME are:
Adjustable lumbar support
The added rear subwoofer (missed on in my C6 3LT and with Bose a PIA to add!) Needed to drown out tire and road noise. My sound system is never off!
Front camera in the Grand Sport. In my 3LT 2014 Z51 always had to be careful when pulling into a parking slot with a curb. After a few minor issues would often back in-also a PIA!

My knee hits the button only in rare circumstances, such as if I'm parked on a steep incline, so I'm getting out of the car awkwardly.
You'll probably start missing the button as you develop a normal pattern for getting out of the car. I seem to remember hitting the button more when I first got the C7.
Right now, this is my favorite feature of the 2LT.
Understand crossing out the HEAT statement! But that is what we get because we have ventilation!
Below is a pic from a good video comparing the C6 and C7 seats. To get then vent function to work they put in a ~3/8 inch open mesh between the seat leather (or whatever) and the heating pads. That allows the 3 small fans to blow cabin air at your rear and back. However it also increases the heat transfer time (conduction) so in my case when it's 40 F out now takes ~10 minutes before I can cut down from 3 bars to 1! It's fun to watch, I'll tell you that. But once he is in all is good! Those seats he had made have very expensive thin padding in them. Fits him like a glove. I drove from Miami Beach to Lake Havasu with him and he did better than I did in the passenger seat. I don't like riding shot gun. Not enough room.
Never have, never have even come close that I know of; but, I always have the seat back a considerable distance and I'm not very big. Now, that d**ned, needless, "pointed" bottom corner of the dash...
