Default Quick question on suspension modes

my Car is a C7 Stingray with the better exhaust but without the magnetic ride. My question is, is there any difference between Sport and Touring mode with this car outside of the steering and exhaust loudness? I.e., if I have steering set to always be Track and Exhaust set to always be Track, is there any difference at all between Sport and Touring modes then? I can’t feel the suspension difference myself, and wondered if maybe you needed Magnetic ride to get that.

Yes you need the magnetic ride to make suspension differences. The sport/track etc. on a non-mag suspension only changes the steering/and NPP if equipped and also some of the dynamics with performance shift and stability control intrusion when performance driving.

Thank you, that was my suspicion, but thought I would ask. I’m impressed with the ride anyway. Someday I’d like to see what the Mag ride difference is like.

No other members jumping in ?? Oh well.

What kind (base,Z51) and year do you have? Mines a 2015 A8 base. If yours is a base, a really easy and good mod is to install the Z51 front and rear sway bars. The base actually doesn't come with a rear bar (i couldn't believe that), at least my year didn't. It's only a couple hundred bucks and does actually make a seat of the pants improvement in the handling. My best mod so far has been the Borla X-pipe. When normal driving with the flaps in track mode (I pulled the fuse) it's only a slight bit louder; at WOT it's BIG difference and sounds really sweet.

Give a shout when you can -- tom

2017 base with manual trans and sport exhaust, that’s all, but perfect for me.

Supposedly there is a difference in throttle response as well, but its not that noticeable.

I agree a little throttle difference. With the A8 it seems to downshift a little quicker and harder in sport/track than in tour. Also in sport/track you get the "performance shift active" that holds the lower gear for a few seconds while you get on it. If not it holds there a few seconds then goes back to "D".
