Had catistrophic accident today

Drifting
While backing up my mother-in-law's driveway I clipped her recycle bin with my passenger side rear quarter panel. In the first picture below you can see the SEVERE DAMAGE that occurred as a result of the sudden impact! (well maybe not). I KNOW you can see the extent of the damage in the second picture below and be able to see why I am so distraught!. OK, MAYBE you can see the damage in the third picture taken with bright light and magnification of the carnage!
This leave me with a huge conundrum. Do I?
1. Sue my elderly 97 year old mother-in-law for reduced value? Surely she should have know I would be backing up in the vicinity she placed her recycle bin, thus bearing the responsibility for this accident.
2. Immediateley enroll in a remedial driving course.
3. Put the otherwise pristine 2014 coupe (only 7450 fair weather miles) in the body shop for a Full Restoration.
4. Just drive it!. It still puts a big grin on my face every time I pull out of the driveway!

I'm happy no one was injured in this horrendous accident. I'd be scared to drive as I'm quite sure there is structural damage. I would be happy to send a flat bed down, have trucked to my local body shop where they will do a complete redo, and drive it several years to make sure it's safe for you and your family. Yeah I know it's puts a lot of pressure on me, but I just the kind of guy that would take that hit for another.

Id sue the old lady for neglect in placement of the storage bin. Id sue the waste management company for failure of guard rails on the recycling bin.
Id sue Chevy if the airbags didn't deploy. Then if you decide that you NEED to drive it before the insurance adjusters calls it a total loss, id check for frame damage. Id even consider a suit against the lawn service for failure to observe a potential accident in moving the bin for you. This thread needs a rating as well, because these photos are clearly not for all eyes to see.

I hope you didn't suffer any broken bones. At least you weren't in CA where they would have charged you a state fee for an unsightly nuisance. :

Because you will definitely have a froobled framis, make sure you go to an authorized frame straightening shop.
Be sure to get new tires from the settlement.
And finally, be absolutely certain to take your MIL for a short ride to the best restau in your area and thank her for a forgiving and humor-laden wife even IF she had to approve the first post of the thread, at the risk of your neck late one nite.

Kind of selfish of you to be focusing on the damage to your car that you caused. Did you even stop to think about the damage to your mother-in-law's bin? Bin is plastic I assume, so do your MIL a favor by scrapping your car, and using the plastic to make a 100 new bins. Give your grieving MIL bin #137364000001 for her troubles. But please, DO check the new bin for orange peel and proper decal alignment.
