Maybe Best Buy is different in the US, but I wouldn't let the Canadian BB touch my lawn tractor.

Ive always used independent specialty shops that can provide references.

personally I would wire using a loc Much cleaner signal
I would skip installing an LOC and just let the amp do it. Adding an LOC to the chain is just cancelling out any audible advantages you may get.

Does anyone know the depth of the factory subwoofer (just the speaker not the enclosure) in the back?

I have this tech plan thing at B.B. and it includes cat audio installations. So..basically free. And if anything goes wrong with the car...damage..etc, B.B. is obviously a solid company, not some lone audio shop. It’d be an easier deal getting things “right” if that were or occur. (I assume...LOL).

I looked at those and the pioneer one that I had before (which I loved). I'm sure a pair of those will be amazing. I need cargo room for all my work crap so, a single box I'm sure will be fine...plus having the amp IN the box helps with room. IF I was gonna get the Pioneer 10" again, I was gonna mount the amp on top of that box.

But....now I have this little RF 10" gem. Booked install for 8/16. Earliest they have plus my schedule...unless I can sneak in over the next few days.

Good luck with install should sound awesome - let you know how mine goes this Thursday or Friday - flicker and black screen issue goes to dealership tomorrow morning thats going to be fun and even funner Wednesday dentist

Amps are so small now they hide them wont even see it - new tech is crazy stuff

Pioneer looks great just couldnt get away from the amazing reviews on these if not for reviews would have been Pioneer - I dont get to hung up on bass speakers its the mids and highs where I would want to go high quality - those Focal's are amazing but crazy money, heard them at installer shop - amazing but not $1200 amazing - mid tweeter combo

I have...but I use the cubby hole for stuff. And I think that JL box is pricey...more than I was willing to spend on this. Not being cheap, just would rather put $$ elsewhere in the car.

I would be interested to see your install with two of those and how you feel they perform. Also where you install the amp please.

Sure hopefully this week sometime it will be done - just sent e-mail to installer for a date

Just spent 6 wasted hours at dealership updating software what a joke so they are ordering a Human Interface Module - I still think its the head but they dont listen - not happy camper but got flicker screen so can still do install of speakers - well figure it out - smash it with a hammer

Amp goes behind the back kick panel where the factory sub would be all ready went over this with him - he said he doesnt want to see anything in car like mine - they are small now and will fit no problem along with LOC

That is too bad about the dealership not listening to what could be the problem. If I remember back in 2014/2015, they would just automatically replace the HU for the flickering screen problem.

I looked at The JL box as well but at that price point I’m not willing to take a gamble if for some reason I don’t like how it sounds ... which leads me to my next comment .

I mentioned earlier that I installed a 8 inch bazooka tube , at first I had it installed towards the rear of the car against the back panel. It immediately sounded horrible Certain frequencies we are resonating in a bad way so I spent some time trying to tune the system differently adjusting frequency rolloff and phase 180 out ... still couldn’t get it to sound good so I decided to move the enclosure forward and bingo! I had to move the base tube forward towards the seats and it Completely changed how this sounded.
So.... even if you install your new system and it sounds Great I would encourage moving your enclosure around if possible ...you may be surprised It could sound even better ...placement is key !

Yup placement is key I was thinking the same thing may put them behind me just behind the cargo cover - also JL way over rated and especially for the price no disrespect had a stealth in my C6 was not impressed and less so after spending $1,200 - no need to pay that much for bass - boom boom they all do that for way less

Dealership called and on Friday morning they are going to install new Human Interface Module and software fun stuff - not

Glad to hear about where you're placing the bass tube...I'll be similar. My location plan is basically "top dead center". The box is kind of a wedge. It'll sit in the middle, forward towards the "hump" but probably not right against it..close tho. I'll have it facing aft...meaning the slant of the wedge will mirror the rear window. If that sounds awful I'll spin it around 180 degrees.

ugh...sucks to wait two damn weeks. LOL

Sounds like a good place to put them and have room in the back aerea to throw stuff, definitely going to do this - they will be right under rear speakers also - between wheel houses is 42" - these will fit with a little room to spare, yah two weeks is a bit of a wait
