I went M7 1LT Z51 NPP MRC NAV back when I ordered in January 2014 since I just didn't see anything on the 2/3LT features list that justified the additional cost. I wanted the performance goodies and navigation for car club cruises/roadtrips, but am content leaving things like the upgraded stereo system and heated seats to our daily drivers. To each their own. Some guys will have a "must have" feature that they just can't live without (a good friend of mine and HUD, for example).

Guys, not to hijack my own thread, but I've been on the forum for a few months and it seems to me that Skid Row Joe is just pulling your chain most of the time and you're falling for it. Kind of funny seeing the back and forth banter.

Mine is a 1LT and is a weekend driver, so the lack of creature comforts doesn't really bother me. If I was buying for everyday use, I would go for the 2LT. Don't go by dealer stock levels to determine which is a more popular car. Stock levels could be an indication of popularity...but they could also just mean that the dealer just got a shipment in, or that they just stock more of a particular trim level or option combination. If you really want to determine the value of the trim levels, check used prices of cars 2 and 3 years old for sale with low mileage. For what I've seen, there isn't a huge difference between the cost of a used 1LT and the cost of a used 2LT / 3LT. (And I really think that once you start negotiating, there really isn't a difference in price at all for the used car market between 1LT trim level and 2LT/3LT cars.) The big factors that make a difference are things like base vs. Z51 or Stingray vs GS vs Z06. Also, the mileage and condition of the car will play a bigger factor. A 3 year old 1LT garage queen will sell for more used than a daily driven 2LT / 3LT car of the same performance level. At the used level, I think people are more willing to pay a premium for a performance model and low miles/like-new condition than they are for interior trim level.

Contrary to what Rebel Smell says, why wouldn't you want your C7 loaded up with what you want?? Just because Rebel Smell doesn't have front cameras as well as numerous other safety features AND luxurious rich smooth leather interior, he doesn't want you to have them either. Rebel Smell bought the cheapest thing he could stretch into financially. Same as many did.

I'm going back and forth on whether to go for the 2LT or the 1LT. Heated seats and dimming mirrors are nice, and the front camera is probably helpful, and that's it in terms of what I would value in a 2LT vs a 1LT. I've had HUD and I could take it or leave it. In reading the forums, seems like most people recommend getting at least the 2LT. But what I don't understand is why do the big three Corvette dealerships only have 2 or 3 2LTs in stock versus way more 1LTs? Are the 1LTs that much more popular in terms of sales and that's why the dealerships stock them?

This question was easy for me. I wanted the front / side cameras and the homelink features of the 2LT, but those options were just not worth paying $4500 more than a 1LT costs. I guess the combination of heated seats and summer only tires makes sense to some folks, but I am not among them.
