Rear bumper cover fitment?
Recently had work done to fix paint issues with the rear bumper cover (along with other items) that required it to be removed by the shop. Problem is the cover now doesn't line up properly at the front lower corners- it sticks out roughly 1/8" where it meets the front 1/4 panel at roughly the 1 o'clock position when looking at the rear wheel .
Yes, it is going back to the shop to correct but I have never personally removed it. My question is what would be the likely issue? Asking because this has led me to question the competency of the shop...
Looking through other threads, I have to assume the lower "clips" (look to be red in most pics I've found) are are not engaged but asking if anyone else has encountered this? Also wondering if there are any adjustments that can be made...

If it was NOT like it is now when you took it to the shop, of course there are adjustments that can be made!
Get them to do it and do it right, even if you have to stand there the entire time! I had the dealer replace a headlight motor on my C5 and they butchered the cover adjustment and gave me such a line of BS when I wouldn't accept it... guess what, they found how to fix it properly. Your shop can do the same. All the best.

Allen - Mine is slightly off too. It used to annoy me, but I looked around at many other C7s and I have found quite a few are like that. Was yours perfectly aligned before the work? Here is what the bumper cover looks like on my 2014.

The point of contention is exactly where you showed in your pic, at the seam just above the reflector on the bumper cover.
No doubt it isn't right, my question is what (mechanically) is the culprit for the misalignment. I'm just looking for info to arm myself with going into the discussion with the shop. I know the answer should be "make it right" but I'd prefer to go in saying "you may want to check X and Y since it may be the issue".
Lead the ignorant to the solution versus having them f-it up trying to figure it out...
