i'm a big fan of the "ghost" stripes/decals.. love the subtlety of cosmetic mods like those... looks great.. it was the reason i went with the oem "Jake" Stinger on my car.. saw one at Carlisle on a Yellow C7Z and thought how awesome a stinger that's more than a stinger but blends in 99% of the time..
I'd like to go with the black vinyl stripes on the hood, roof, and trunk lid, along with side mirrors. But my car has Ceramic Pro installed, and the installer that applied it said I would have to prep the area first where the stripes would do. Otherwise, the vinyl material would not adhere properly. So essentially I would have to pay someone to remove something that I paid them to put on.
This is pretty much the definition of a certain level of Corvette enthusiasm.
This happened before when I paid a tuner to remove my aftermarket FBO parts, to take my previously owned 2009 Nissan GT-R to stock, so I could more easily sell it. I did manage to recoup around 2/3 the cost of the parts when I resold them.
