Depends what part of the country he/she is in. That time of year, it could take up to 3 months (depending on weather as well)
True, we've seen a lot of west coast members on here wait a few extra weeks for their car to finally arrive even after it's built, due to it being shipped by train as opposed to the east coast orders which are shipped only by truck.
It will also depend on the dealer you order the car from. Bigger dealers that sell a lot of Corvettes will get the car sooner as they have more GM order allocations than a smaller dealer that only sells a few. However, when you order, if the dealer in fact has an allocation (I would ask to see it before I order to make sure they don't tell a fib), it should take 6-8 weeks. Could be less, could be more depending on things like, holiday's, weather, constraints. etc.
Constraints are popular options like the Z51 package, etc. If there are more orders for an option than the supplier can make GM will put a constraint on that option, and it will take longer for the car to arrive at your dealer. Read through the "sticky" at the top of this forum section labeled "Ordering a Corvette", everything you need to know is there. Good luck, and welcome to the forum.
