Hi everyone. I'm planing to buy a 2014 Corvette but I'm also interesting in buying a Mustang. Can someone give me some advice.
Some people love Fords, others Chevrolet. Thus the draw to one type of sports car might be based upon this pre-conceived preference . As you know, Mustangs have a seat behind the drivers and the passenger seat BUT it really isn’t made for long trips or especially for adult passengers imo. Obviously, the Corvette has no seats behind the driver and passenger seats. Personally, I have always loved the Corvette body style so buying a Mustang was never an option for me. My parents owned a used 66 Mustang but I didn’t like it because we had to ride in the backseat (3 kids) and it was crowded! Might be my reason for not liking the Mustang car personally.
Anyways, test drive them both if you can do so. Corvette dealerships don’t always let you test drive the Corvette, at least thats been my experience in the past. Read up all you can about BOTH cars and then decide from there which car you want to purchase. After doing so, I’m sure you’ll make the right decision for your particular situation.

Welcome to the FORUM !!
Jeez, without a LOT more information it's pretty hard to give much of an answer. I guess seeing as how you are on the CV Forum I would expect most members here would tell you to buy the CV. From what I've heard the 14's have been very reliable. If you buy from a dealer make sure you get an extended warranty; these guys are jammed with lots of electronics and are not cheap to fix. Simple question for me - the Corvette is a nicer better performing car all around and is classier than the nickle-dime mustangs you see at every corner. To be balanced, their are some kick-*** performance versions of the Mustang out there, but probably not in the price range of a used 14 Corvette ex. 350GT, Boss 302's and GT-500's. I do have to say, strip them down and they are all a V-6 entry level fun car with lots of extra juice added. ANY model of the Corvette stands alone, no such thing as a stripped down C7. JMO -- good luck.
Hi everybody, I'm planning on having some love either before or after the rain. Can someone give me some advice.
On the off chance this is a serious question, I was planning to buy a new mustang GT, but when the price went over 50k for what I wanted, I decided to spend a bit more and get a corvette. The mustangs are nice, but they're not corvette nice.
Ill bite only for the odd chance this is a real question:
My Fiance bought a 2016 Mustang - not a GT but nice loaded. Was it a beautiful car? Yes Was it fast? Ill say it was "quick". Was it a Corvette? Not even close. Now I dont say that as a Mustang hater / basher - I say that because the C7 is a world class sports car. The Mustang (to me) still is very plastic looking and still very Ford. As much as one can argue "well a Vette is Chevy"...the C7's are not a typical Chevy. The massive changes introduced starting in 2014, set the bar for world class sports cars in so many categories. Not that a Mustang isnt a great car - I just dont think anyone can say its "world class"...like they do for a Vette... Again, just my .02 cents.
How exclusive do you want to be? GM sells ~30,000 Corvettes a year. Ford sells ~30,000 Mustangs a month! So, you will see a lot more Mustangs on the road. That's because of several reasons, including Ford makes many variants of the car, including 6 cylinders all the up to the GT350. And they make a lot of stripped versions for those on an entry level budget. Nothing wrong with Mustangs, but personally the Corvette turns heads and even several model years into the C7 it still looks fresh and modern. Not so much the Mustang.
Thats cause the owners are afraid to take them out of their plastic bubble lol.
I doubt this poster is real but if so..get a stang for a daily, the vette to thrash on the weekends.
