I have a 17 Mustang GT and 16 Z06. Both great cars for different reasons. Mustang has back seat, albeit a small one but plenty big for my dogs. Plenty of power for the street. Easier to get in/out. Vette is super comfy (once you get in), much faster but not needed unless you track it, gets lots more compliments and looks. Biggest difference is with the Mustang I hit the break when hitting a curve
Mustang is a nice car but is not Corvette! haha Does it make me more acceptable in this C7 Forum😄 I still looking for a good dealer in the market. Thank you guys for let me know how important the C7 is.

Ill bite only for the odd chance this is a real question:
My Fiance bought a 2016 Mustang - not a GT but nice loaded. Was it a beautiful car? Yes Was it fast? Ill say it was "quick". Was it a Corvette? Not even close. Now I dont say that as a Mustang hater / basher - I say that because the C7 is a world class sports car. The Mustang (to me) still is very plastic looking and still very Ford. As much as one can argue "well a Vette is Chevy"...the C7's are not a typical Chevy. The massive changes introduced starting in 2014, set the bar for world class sports cars in so many categories. Not that a Mustang isnt a great car - I just dont think anyone can say its "world class"...like they do for a Vette... Again, just my .02 cents.
Did you say the Mustang was too plastic? What does that mean our beloved Corvettes DON'T have any plastic in them?
Would you say a SHELBY is "world class" or just another plastic looking Ford? By the way never owned a FORD and have had 7 Corvettes since 1971 Currently '15 Z51

By the way. Who will be going to the car festival in Oregon next week. I think it is Sept 14 in Bend. Send the message and I will be happy to meet the Forum Member in person.
Hi everyone. I'm planing to buy a 2014 Corvette but I'm also interesting in buying a Mustang. Can someone give me some advice.
i have both: ‘17 GS (just sold) and ‘17 Z (just bought) and ‘14 mustang Gt.
If I were you, it really depends on who you are and what you want it for.
The Vette is a world class performance sports car.
The Mustang is a muscle car (loud exhaust, iconic “Pony” look) and the GT350/R version finally addressed the issues they have with being on a track (like handling/body roll, and putting the power down to the wheels). The nonShelby GT has a lot of the power of the 350 but is not as track capable. (I presume you’re not looking below the Mustang GT.)
Both are mid-life crisis cars but the Vette will run a higher price at the top end. I’d argue the Vette is more sophisticated in its design and build (just look at the headlights and tach display). Mustangs are more often in the hands of younger guys so there’s that. Other members can tell u abt the minutiae of problems.
Personally, at this stage in life, i find the Vette to be a better companion for me because of the sophistication and I’ll prob end up getting rid of my Stang’r.
