Therein lies part of my problem. I am a car nut . . . my Mercedes SL63 is perfectly quiet, my Bentley is almost too quiet, and believe it or not, my new 2019 RAM truck gets the prize for the best all around comfortable and quiet ride. Even my 40,000 Mustang is quieter $ than my $75,000 GS. Thanks for your reply!
I'll agree with you there. The brides '18 Mustang GT with the active exhaust is quieter inside than my C7.
Appreciate your comment. Really like your car. Is it silver or the "Sterling Blue" that they came out with in 2017? Mine is the Sterling Blue, but pretty hard to find much blue in it. With the Grand Sport body, turbine type wheels, and a dark grey top it gets more attention than any of the other 40 or so vets in our local club. Too bad it is probably the noisiest of the bunch. I have ordered a "Block It" mat and will be anxious to see if it helps.

It's Blade Silver with Red interior. We were in the process of picking out colors, and that can be the hardest thing on these cars. We were in Myrtle Beach, and decided to check out their C7's. And there it sat, a blade sliver coupe with the red calipers. We both decided right there that our Vert would be silver. You'll get used to the road noise my friend, trust me. We've had Corvettes for so long we don't even notice it anymore.
I must be a very small minority but I dont find my 15 Z51 M7 62k miles noisy. I have the exhaust set on track and it has anice sound. Road noise isnt bad and I dont have the radio blasting. My tires are Continental DWS06 non runflats
As I understand it, the problem is with Michelin tires on the Grand Sport which are almost 2" wider on the rear that on a Z51. Be glad you do not have the problem.
Pretty sad to spend a big chunk of money on a car with this kind of issue. Shame on GM for skimping on insulation and accepting tires that are clearly a problem. The only good news is the tires will probably wear out in 10 to 12,000 miles anyway . . . and the replacements will not be Michelins!
Hate to burst your bubble but my runflats on the 16 Z-51 are looking good at 14,000 miles front and back
I had a 2014 Z51, sold it and bought a 2017 Grand Sport ~18 months ago. Those coupes were/are both noisy! I don't think the Grand Sport is significcnatly worse with it's larger tires. Both were solved with the same solution - I play my sould system fairly loud and drown the noise out! It starts when the car starts and is seldom off! Works for me.
My C6 Z51 was also noise and I felt my 3LT needed a subwoofer in the rear, which was not available. My 3LT 2014 and my 2LT Grand Sport both have the added subwoofer and IMO that is a big help. I have my system set with a rear and right bias. I seldom have a passenger and don't use my cell phone in the car! The one issue was 10 to 15% of the >1000 songs I have playing in shuffle mode from a thumb drive were too boomy. I would have to skip or lower the volume, which defected my downing out noise objective.
A poster showed that you could have several Balance, Bass Treble etc control levels set, stored and then retrieved with presets. That has solved the problem. I even made a thumb drive that includes a number of boomy bass songs that include more current, Joss Stone's Tear Drops and several Adel songs They are fine on my low or medium Bass presets. This is a PDF on how to do that:i http://netwelding.com/Boomy_Bass.pdf
The Corvette is a sports car with performance tires Insulation is probably kept to a minimum to keep weight down. Weight makes for a slower car Its not like a Bently GT or Mercedes Sl which are more of a luxury cruiser than sports car so no the Corvette will not be as quiet or smooth riding as them. Like I said I am in a minority here the noise to me isnt that bad I enjoy hearing the car.

I agree. I am also running the same tires. Non runflats will lower the cabin noise but the C7 is not a Lexus so don't expect a quiet interior especially if you have a coupe.
