If you decide to go open trailer, forget about anything the transporter tells you about putting in a claim if your car is scratched/nicked/dented in any way . Even with before /after pictures with the claim, they will never cough up a dime. Ever. The *#'!s .

Good point. I spoke with a few open trailer shipping companies. Quotes range between 900-1100$. Plus they claim they have insurance for any damage including rock chips. I don't think its gon be an easy claim if anything happens so at this point, im gon drive

When I moved back to Texas from California I shipped my C6. Since it was already well used, I just ordered a open trailer. The trailer was actually covered in with a soft covering like a tarp, but I think I just got lucky. There was no damage to my car. If you are concerned, you might think about finding one of the white disposable new car covers that the factories use these days to ship cars if the shipper will allow it.
