Crashing Vettes
I’m used to seeing mustangs lose traction and crash into medians and trees on YouTube but now there’s a bunch of c7s doing it on straightline runs. Is it tc off that does this or should I be worried and only do straught runs at the bonneville salt flats

It isn't TC off that lets that happen. It is people not used to driving cars with low rpm high torque engines that can't handle the initial torque delivery when they drop the hammer. The LT1 has the same low rpm torque values as the C6 LS7 and people had trouble controlling those cars as well. The LT4 has a hell of a lot more low rpm torque than the LT1 and takes more throttle control practice. When the back end starts to move sideways you need to back off the throttle Vs thinking you can drive through it.

I rarely disagree with Bill, but I do partially in this case. I think most of these accidents are due to TC and DSC being in degraded modes (Track, Track PTM Sport 2 or Race) coupled with marginal skills. I don't see these happening in a straight line w/ TC and DSC in full engagement modes.
