I guess a couple of you guys didn't read my whole post. I've had this car north of 150 with the air dams and 160 without and noticed no difference. No float, no oversteer, same handling on wide sweeping curves. So if you cite your personal experience noticing the diff with your 260Z, why discount my experience. I heard GM added them for mileage to help their overall CAFE ratings but who knows. It won't be the first mod I've ever made that worked better or as good as stock. Engineers aren't gods!
I don't think the material they use would work well with glue, though you might be able to use small screws and a doubler.
However, the air dam is pretty cheap and I've just replaced mine when damaged. Easy.
Just came from the dealer Part number 23145886 Deflector PKG with tax total 107.45 all 3 pieces. Now I think thats pretty cheap. Mine will be in tomorrow for my 2017 base vert.

Hope you'll follow up with a report on how well your repair worked after it has been driven for a while. I would probably just replace it if it tore, but will be interesting to hear from you on your attempt at a repair.
Had same issue with right side starting to tear, was out when I noticed so used black duct tape I had in trunk and been fine for past few months, also not that notable.
