Torque Converter Shutter
I received an email earlier today from a new member of our club asking if I knew of anyone with a 2015 Stingray that has run into an issue of torque converter shuttering. He left the car at a local dealer (large Corvette dealer) in our area whil;e he was taking his daughter up to Georgia. He called to see if they had discovered what was causing the issue. He was told they contacted GM and were told GM hoped to have a fix by spring of 2019.
Has anyone here had such and issue or heard of it before?

Problem has been addressed with new trans fluid formula.
worst case they swap converters if the converter is too far gone.
otherwise they flush the trans with new fluid and you're fine.
the old fluid was too heavy or thick. The new fluid is a low viscosity formula "LV" on the bottle.

Correct. Mine was flushed and filled with the new fluid several weeks ago. I had a new torque converter installed about a year ago so I am hoping that the new fluid will prevent its failure. So far, so good. Tranny is shifting well and no shudder. I have also decided to use a Range all the time to prevent V4 as this puts extra strain on the torque converter.
