1st to 2nd shift delay

My 2016 (build date June 2015) has always had a delay in the 1st to 2nd shift after it has been sitting for more than approx 15 minutes. I have found that putting the trans in M and paddle shifting to 2nd before the car starts moving will eliminate the delay on subsequent shifts in D mode.
QUESTION: Is there a fix for this delay problem such as a re-flash? Is there a directive from GM addressing this problem with a permanent fix? This is the only problem I have had with this car. It is annoying; I can live with it but would rather not. Anyone out there who has had a successful fix for this problem LATELY!!?

I'm told that the triple flush transmission fluid change helps. My 2017 does it only when cold many many other people have this issue as well.

I've noticed the same with mine - particularly when I roll cold with minimum idle warm-up. This is the only relevant bulletin I've found.
