Going to be more in the $600-$800 range for a proper repair.
3-4 hours to remove/reinstall front cover, and remove all trim(grill, marker lamps, emblem)
.5-1 hour sand, filler, and prime
3ish hours paint
1ish hour clear coat
Figure current body repair rates($62 hour here), and another $35 or so per hour of paint and you have a quote of about 8(about $500) hours of labor, with about $140 in paint materials... This is just a guess based on common times I see in repair estimates.
I think you are about 5 labor hrs heavy and don't believe they will remove the front cover for that small repair.
Here is what I would do and what you may want to consider. Google for a detailer that also does paint chip and blemish repairs. They usually do very good with what you have there. Just make sure to check them out for rating reviews on the Internet. I have done that in the past with good results. They don't charge nearly as much as a regular body paint shop.
Was the accident reported to your insurance company?
Also, for no more than a harsh paint scuff, try to use a service that would avoid having the car reported as having an accident on Carfax.
No insurance claims. The other vehicle did not suffer any damage. Yes i have done body works for other vehicles where the shop dint report it to carfax. Will be following the same route

I agree as I have had a nose damage prior where the nose was cracked. Costed me 400$ to fix the crack, sand and repaint. Theres no crack this time. I expect it to be less but again that was done in detroit and this has to be done in Texas. So price will be different i suppose

Thats a different approach. Il try to call and see if i can find a good detailer who also works on paint chips. Appreciate the input.
Many if not most used car facilities have a mobile touch up service that works on their inventory on a regular basis. This is the type of damage they specialize in. They will spray it and you will be hard pressed to find where the repair was made in most instances. I would contact the used car manager at a larger dealership and see if he can direct you to one of these services he may recommend.

I agree, many dealerships have mobile dent/paint and mobile upholstery repair guys they work with on a regular basis. I would suggest finding a higher end dealer (Mercedes, BMW etc) for best results.

The difference between a proper repair and a touch up. If the bumper is going to be painted, not touched up and buffed out, it will need to be taken off the vehicle for paint.
Here is the bumper section of some repairs done to my car after a parking lot fender bender. There was work done on the fender, and other parts too, so this is just the bumper re-spray broken out. $450.00, plus tax. As I said, this was only part of a larger repair, so as a stand alone, I'd imagine it would be more. Anyway, no speculation: real world cost to re-spray a Z06 bumper cover. By the way, they also charged me $70 in parts for the new carbon emblem. Once they pull it off, it can't be re-attached.
If you want a shop in houston Richie Collision. Northside on Veterans memorial blvd They are amazing. My 2016 was backed into a couple months ago and on recommendations from here took it there.
I have nothing but good things to say about Karen and her crew. Did an amazing job and would not give it back until everything was perfect.

I went and spoke with them today after few post from this forum about them. Chris agreed to spot paint spray and gave me a quote of 200$ for it. Very reasonable. Il probably get it done next week 🤞
You need to take a second look at the front end picture guys, the grill is cracked in then drivers side bottom about 3-4 inches from dead center. To properly repair the damage it looks as if you are going to ave to replace the grill,

Yeah, good catch. Repairing the paint portion would eliminate the "eye grabbing" damage, OP has to decide whether he can live with the less conspicuous grill damage,
$200 is a fair repair price assuming the spay matches.......unfortunately a new grill adds considerably to that repair cost. OP has to determine how "repaired" he wants his car.

I agree with both of these posts. Nothing to lose with trying the Dr. Colorchip route and see if it is good enough for you to live with. If not, then the repaint. But I would see about the detailer - could be a better looking fix for not a lot of money.
