Default Setting finish line using PDR

When I track my car at NCM, I start recording with the PDR while in pit row waiting to get waived onto the track. I'll also hit "mark finish line" there & it will then compute my lap times. I believe I did the same thing down at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham but no lap times were recorded. It's as if the "mark finish line" didn't take or couldn't be detected from the pit lane compared to the actual track. Anyone else ever had this happen?

At the Corvette Owner School they said that it is best to mark the finish line on track because it only measures about 30ft either side of the point you mark (I can’t remember the exact parameter they quoted). If you mark the finish line in the pit and you pass it on the outside of the track, you may be outside the parameters and not get a reading.

25.7 feet actually (based on guaranteed GPS accuracy by the way)

Pit lane is too far off the "rack line" to set the Start / Finish on the PDR. Need to mark it on the track.
