So, from what I've read, the only reason to Seal it is if you don't like to wax often??? I like to wax
3-4 X a year. It's a daily driver for work, 2-4 hours a day, 9 months a year.
I'm a Meguiar's fan, the Wash, Carnauba Way and Quick Detail, all looks good to me,
so Why sh
ould I seal?????
Ah crap, I just had mine ceramic coated and I never have to wax mine or worry about the paint. 5 layers of H9 Chemical guys and it's good for the lifetime. Before the H9 was applied, the detail shop claybar cleaned the car to correct the so called paint issues (non found)
This was done last year. Oh and the shine! Ya got to wear shades in the sun
The car was dirty in the picture while on a great road trip, with the coating things just rinsed right off
Best money spent to protect the so called bad paint.
You should get a pressure washer and a foam cannon, you can pick a ryobi one up for $100 and I picked up a foam cannon up off Amazon for $12 and it works great. i have a 17 Z06 (Z07) self-tanner and I love it. that blue in your c7 looks amazing man !!!

I guess I’m just old school but I still use Turtle Wax paste (cream really) applied with the sponge that came with it. My car is not a DD tho & is garaged a lot. In the ‘70’s I used to use Blue Coral on my 73 Corvette but it was a lot of work to get it on correctly.
Since starting in the Mid-60s as a part-time detailer at a dealership I've tried about everything. After all is said and done I keep coming back to carnauba paste every time.

I tend to try new stuff (always looking for a silver bullet) but this weekend I went old school and put on some old fashion NuFinish on just the top surfaces (hood, hatch, upper fenders) to protect from brutal the Florida sun. I was amazed at how easy it went on and came off, plus it left no streaks compared to Meguiars NXT that I used previously. NuFinish does create a ton of white dust residue so you need to switch microfibers often to get all of it off. I also noticed NuFinish dries very quickly (going from spreadable cream to haze) this forces you to work in smaller sections which leads to better results.
I am also a big fan of Turtle Wax "Wax and Dry" spray which is not really a wax, but is a quick detailing spray that is recommended to use in-between waxings to maintain that top layer. It says to apply to a wet car but you really just want the car to be damp so the product spreads quickly and doesn't flash (dry up) immediately. When it flashes it tends to streak slightly and requires a second pass to shine up, so it needs to be slightly wet. Even works on windows if you use a very light coat. Best part is no residue of any kind even on black plastic. Because it works while drying the car it kills two birds with one stone. This stuff literally wipes right off... you don't spend hours doing the Karate Kid wax-on / wax-off drill.
