Default Winter Chicken

This 6.2 is no Chicken and gets fully exposed to snow and FUN!

The 6.2 chicken on the bottom and the other chicken over it want to stay where they are till spring.

That's cool. Wish I had that much vertical space in my garage.

Serious question. What's the point of parking it on the little plastic ramps? Is it to avoid flat spotting the tires?

I've got another question. How do you avoid the inevitable oil drips from the car on top? I don't know of too many old GM products that don't leak fluids.

Thanks!
Yes those are Race Ramp Flat Stoppers.
The black one you see in front is actually a stop for my wife on her side of the garage -it was a free gift when I bought the Flat Stoppers.

Good question and yes the Z/28 has some slight drips.
The Direct Lift came with (4) large plastic trays that sit an inside lip so that you can put they trays were you need them -never had any get by them.

Up North here, I could have no winter fun at all without a heater -crank it up to 70, crank up the radio, grab a drink and go install something or detail till I drop

The wife and I have snowmobiles for the Winter. When you live in the snow belt you either do something fun in the snow or you hate your life 5 Month's out of the year.

Your garage is way too clean !!! If I still lived in upstate NY, I wouldn't have my car out in the winter either!

Yes, it's a 79Z, with the aluminum case Borg Warner Super T-10, close ratio 4 speed, 373 posi & 350 4 barrel ….pounding out 175HP!! Bought it in Sept 79 and it is still all original.
It is a blast to drive, like going back to when I was a kid.

At least it is a 4 speed!

Where the magic HP is made LOL.

That sure brings back memories! My first new car was a blue/black 79 Z28. I ordered it in Sept of 78 and it finally showed up in Feb 79. It was a fun car for the time...

Looks like my driveway, I measured 18" on Friday morning before I turned my winter toy loose on it. Actually took the last ride of the season in my ZO6 on Thursday, just in time it seems. Gonna be a long winter I'm afraid, but my favorite winter sport is driving to the Airport to get on a plane going someplace warm and sunny, that starts next week.

Nice setup you have in your garage. Can't say I blame you for putting the cars away for the winter.

Which lift is that? The standard 8, the 8 long, or the 9?
