24,000 miles on my 2016. I left on xgiving ever from fla to NC. it beat me to death! it continuously felt like driving on concrete road dividers and every 6 or so seconds, it would shake violently sometimes even through the steering wheel. if I shifted to manual, he shudder would cease. my plan was to bring it home after xgiving and get it fixed. unfortunately, a deer got me in south Carolina. my car is in Pinehurst NC now awaiting parts. I haven't asked them yet, but hopefully Clark Chev will be able to flush or swap the TC while it's waiting for body parts for about a month. The repair estimate so far is $15,000.

Replacing the TC is around 3K, appears you are still under warranty. I had the same problem with my TC on my 2015 and the new TC was replaced under warranty. After the new TC, no more transmission problems. I think on the 2015 and 2016 TC's, a TC replacement is required, a fluid change will not solve the problem. Hopefully the dealership has replaced TC's and you are not the first TC replacement. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the deer incident.
My 2016 a8 1lt had a very bad shutter. Very bad! I had the transmission flushed with the new Mobil One fluid yesterday and it is like new again. In fact, I think it is better than when it was new. There is NO indication or feeling felt when it transitions between V8 and V4 at all. The only way I know it occurred is by looking at the dash readout. My car has 67,500 miles on it and has been flawless. I am going to plug the Range device in and forget about it for a while. I considered trading the car for a while but now I plan to keep it for now.
Good Luck with your repairs.
Edit, My 2016 was produced very late in the model year and I think it got the revised tc.

Sorry for your ordeal. Just a heads up, a guy has a used range device for sale on the C7 parts for sale site for 125.00 good deal. I bought a used range and sent it to be upgraded to latest revision for free. Is it a permanent fix, don't know but my GS stays in v8 mode all the time as it should thereby rendering the TC not as active. Good luck with fix.

my problem is not the shifting between 4 and 8 . it's smoothe as silk shiftin. but in 4 cyl, it's almost consistently bumpy and shuddering. it may even be that it stays in 4 cylinder much longer than it was before...seemed it never wanted to go back to 8cyl. this was cruising on I95 at 75mph.
A Range device is a little thing that plugs in to your OBD2 port down left of the steering wheel ahead of your left knee. It prevents the engine from going into V4 mode, thus minimizing the torque converter clutch cycling as often.
15k to fix that ???? it doesnt look that bad. The most expensive part in here i would say the headlight. replace fender and blend to match the door, replace bumper and some bracket. But if your insurance pay that 15K. Get that check and go to another bodyshop and tell them you pay in cash( i believe they will cut it down and u make some out of it) but anyway sorry for what happened. I hope you can get it back soon.
Took my 19 GS (4000 miles), to Hendricks for the dreaded eco-mode shakes--the fix as stated was flushed the TC. Service writer called said it was ready for pickup. Having a few minutes of discussion, he told me to expect it to still have a little vibration but will smooth out the more I drive it, said this was normal!! Asked him: Then why didn't it vibrate when I drove it off the lot brand new, going to call and have a talk with the Service Manager today.

the ins co, USAA, paid 15,554 yesterday to the dealer. the dash blew apart with the airbag. seat belt retractors broke, grill, camera, front wheel, other stuff I couldn't see. I wanted the best repair possible and USAA agreed to pay for it.
