Not Again!
In June I received a new 2019 C7 after GM bought back my 2015, which couldn’t be fixed. Last Thursday I brought it to the dealer for a first oil change and to fix a rattle from the passenger side door speaker. When they inspected the car they found a defective strut and a cracked speaker mount. No big deal so far. But when I picked up the car I immediately noticed a strange fluttering sound from the rear, on acceleration over 50 mph. I drove straight back to the dealer and went for a test drive with their lead Vette mechanic. He verified the noise and agreed it didn’t sound normal. He said it might be a bearing but wasn’t sure. I left it at the dealer and drove home in a loaner. With only 1850 miles on it I’m now worried I have another lemon. If it can’t be fixed I’m considering dumping it in favor of something a little more reliable. Please leave your feedback. At this point I need support because this is just too frustrating.

My advise is to bide your time and patiently work through any bumps in the road of warranty with your new 2019 C7.
.You're doing what you can being attentive to anything amiss your car presents to you. Just give it some more time and keep putting miles on the car during warranty 3/36.
.Way too early to know if you should bail on this car.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'd wait and see what shakes out. That being said, I know how you must feel and how you can go "sour" on a car especially after going through a "buy-back" w/ your 2015. I had a series of problems w/ a Honda Civic and swore I'd never own another Honda product (and have not). Your current problem may be easily remedied and you'll have smooth sailing going forward. Lets hope that is the case. If, however this one turns out to be a "lemon" too, I personally would have a hard time going for #3 (since we are not talking nickels and dimes w/ these cars).

You are an anomaly-you unfortunately defied the odds. These are basically very reliable cars-my 15 is trouble free-but every car maker has a few lemons and you, unfortunately, may have gotten 2 in a row.

with Joe. I understand your apprehension at this point. But, work through this, it may not be anything serious. I hope this will be your last visit to the dealer for anything other than scheduled maintenance. Good luck.
