The OEM C7 tires are NOT directional. They are asymmetrical however. You can see the outside tread is wider than the inside tread, for example. There are also sidewall reinforcement and probably rubber compound difference as well. They say OUTSIDE in all caps on the sidewall. Therefore you just rotate one side to the other front ad back. Owner's Manual says rotate at 7500 miles. Just did my rear tires at ~5000, will rotate the front when I change oil.

There are tires that are directional that have a rotation arrow on the sidewall. They cannot be rotated side to side unless removed and remounted on the wheel.

There are tires that are asymmetrical and directional. They will usually say right and left on the sidewall and because of the different front and rear sizes on a C7 CANNOT be rotated.

(Note steel wire used in the tire bead area but that has been used before radials and have was a rotation direction issue..)
Great Explanation Thanks Jerry

I drive aggressive and hard.
Did anyone mention QUIETER..... I changed the OEMs to A/S 3P+ ZPs when I bought my '15 Z51 with 6K miles..... drove OEMs to Phoenix from Lake Charles and swapped in Phoenix to A/S...... OMG what a difference sound-wise with no perceptible change in handling...plus I live at 5,500 ft. and did not want a "Winter" change-over.... works for me anyways.... smile

2017 Owner Manual page 276 says to rotate the tires every 7,500 miles.
Text tells you the "rotation" is side to side, not front to back. They even show a diagram of how to do it.

I too was skeptical, but our Corvette tech and Discount Tires both say it works fine with modern radials. We've done the switch twice now and no problems. I keep a close eye on alignment and tread wear so it shouldn't be necessary, but we also switch from PSS to A/S every Spring-Fall, so I just mark the location of each tire and flip them when reinstalled 6 months later.

This is great to know!
I’ll Report back when I get mine on.
I’ve got almost 11,000 miles and not been able to enjoy my car without vibration from bent OEM rims. I’ll have new wheels and tires on soon!

We have a 2010 CTS Cadillac and we never rotated the tires. I had two full alignments done and got 94,000 miles out of the OEM tires. I have 140,000 now on my second set of tires and 2 weeks ago I bought 2 new for front. My husband had a wreck at 120,000 and I think the front right rim has a slight bend in it (where he was hit) and the reason the front tire wore. My point is I don’t believe in rotating tires...only aligning the car.

Yes sir! I had these once and had to have them dismounted and remounted rotating side to side as they were directional.
