C7 Corvette A/C issue
MODE DOOR ACTUATOR
2016 C7 convert Z51 noticed no down airflow on either heat or cool operation only flow to body direction.
At dealers day 2 now waiting on part called MODE DOOR ACTUATOR. Looked this up on internet, looks like a cassette cost $30 - $40 at retail outlets.
Car is still at dealer overnight while waiting for part since assume the amount of tear down to get to the defective part negates taking the car.
Thank god still one month warranty. Will followup with cost when complete

Earlier this year another forum member had a similar issue. Good luck.

My 2019 GS has no down airflow; when selected it blows air out the window defogger upper vent. It initially worked when purchased in June; failed about a month later. Scheduled for a warranty repair on Jan 21.

At dealer for one week. Dash had to be pulled to get to actuator. All back together and working. Dash looks like it was never pulled.
Picked up today 01-03-19.

Did you get the extended warranty? Worth it in my book

I had a bad actuator on my tahoe. The cheesy plastic gear inside the actuator servo breaks, and the vents are somewhat spring loaded and default to the defrost setting, as its just inconvenient to be cold, but dangerous to not be able to see.
