Do a search on screen flickering. Someone recently posted on fixing the wires that plug into the screen. With the up/down movement they tend to eventually become intermittant, the wires get stressed.

I had the same issue. When it happened the car was under warranty. So naturally I took it to dealer and they changed the screen. However as 2K14C7 mentioned, a recent thread pointed to a relatively easy fix.

I have generated a few threads on this. Every once in awhile my screen will flicker and I have to take off the little triangle on the driver side front part of the center console. Move the screen up and down until you can see the two blue wires. Give them a pull and they will reseat and all will be good for a long time. Beats having your dash ripped out
