swapped out air filter and did not seat the MAFS accurately enough realized right away ....too late and obviously have the CIL ( Trans) light lit.....seems to me I read on here that eventually it sorts itself out ... how long does that take as it prevents you from starting the car remotely....or do I need to get a code reader ... if so what is everybody reccomending.?
Thanks in advance
Looks like a transmission symbol..might be an engine ... but definately the one light that tells you something is amiss...did some reading ...might reset after a few start ups.... can potentially undo the negative terminal and wait 30 secs... or get an OBD2 tool ...would not mind having one if someone has a reccomendation ...thanks

You must mean CEL not CIL (Check Engine Light). Not sure about a trans light so I will assume its a engine. Just but a cheap OBDII reader/clearer at Walmart.

I had this happen on an air intake swap. Simple fix. Just disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 minutes and reconnect it. Then drive the car. It'll go away unless you didn't connect the sensor correctly.
