Default Installing stripes yourself

I am thinking of installing a full length center stripe from vettestripes.com on my 2018 Z06. Has anyone done this? I have never installed stripes before and was wondering how hard a job this is or should I be looking for professional installation?

As I recall they have installation videos to watch before installing. Best of luck and of course take lots of pics for us!

Do professional installation. I've done stripes and decals before myself and it takes a lot of time. You have to line it up, measure, line it up again, and put it on wet. So if you have lots of time and patience, then yes you can do it yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Easy peasy. Just be sure to keep it wet till you have it where you want it. Then use a squeegee to get out the air/water. Be sure to squeegee from the middle out. I did this on my 98 and 15. Both were super easy and came out great. Bottom line: they are just vynl stripes. You mess up you can always pull them off and possibly try again depending on if you mess them up or not. Like the other guy said tho, just take your time and be patient.

I’ve installed vinyl stripes on another car, as well as related decals, tint, and Xpel on several others (same technique), but if this is your first attempt, I’d recommend a professional as there is a leaning curve. If you decide to do it yourself, check out some of the DIY vids on YouTube... and you might also want to buy a mulligan set or two

I chose to go the professional route - I’m just not that confident in my abilities to get the stripe just right. But, you may be able to do a great job yourself.

What type of shop would you use to have them professionally installed?
Body shop, sign shop??

You can use a body shop, but I would recommend a shop that specializes in vinyl wraps.
