I too feel that it really depends on the color of the car. These are my first black wheels on any car and I really like them. If I had chosen Torch Red I would have gone the other way. The important thing is that we all have a Vette to enjoy.
Observation: several derogatory comments by those who dislike black wheels. Wonder why? Is it that distasteful to you?
Some people find it hard to accept anything other than what they're used to seeing,
their harsh comments though just mirror
their inability to see beyond their tiny boxes!
I looked at every picture in this thread that contains a C7 with black wheels. In almost every picture, when you look at black wheels, you see nothing but black. There's no contrast...nothing but black. Sorry, that does not work for me.
You know, I think all Corvettes are beautiful. Myself, I have to stay with chrome though. I never dreamed I would own a set of black wheels, but put some on my Silverado and get a lot of compliments. I will be switching to chrome soon though. I guess it goes back to when I was a kid (dating myself).. if you had black wheels back then it meant someone stole your hubcaps.
Used to hate them... Now I think chrome or silver look dated. Not sure I would have bought mine if it didn't have black rims, it just adds to the red and black combo
Nice ride. The black makes the red pop. I like the black rims on mine because I feel like it matches more of the carbon flash, darker emblems, and tinted windows and lights. It’s a more classic put together look.

Boy is that correct. There are some grumpy old farts around here. Choice is why there are different flavors of ice cream and none are actually bad. But, I can't help it if black wheels are fugly.
