I tried this first on the Z06 side but got no response...
I have a 2016 3LZ M7 vert with with black interior and suede microfiber seat inserts, with red stitching (not the one with the suede dash and doors). I bought it as a CPO in August, My shifter **** and boot, are both suede. My steering wheel, however, is not suede but leather. Is my car suppose to also have a suede steering wheel with red stitching too? I was thinking that maybe sometime before I bought it, the steering wheel may have been changed out to a leather one.
Also, if I decide to get a microfiber steering wheel, will all the hardware from my leather one fit the suede one.
Some folks like the leather better (I’m with you, I like the suede one). Good news, they’re pretty easy to swap and usually come with paddles and buttons (you keep the airbag).
If your car has the suede seat inserts, shift **** and shift boot, it should have originally came with a matching suede steering wheel as well. The original owner most likely switched it out. You can easily swap steering wheels and all the hardware switches over.

So you are saying that ALL 2016 Z06s with the the suede inserts should have the suede steering wheel?
had a '14 which came with the Alcantara/suede wheel and shift **** but I did not like how it aged; skin oils, wear spots,
it just does not do well over time...attractive, nice feel but does not mature well.....
