That is what I was told by the dealer; that it was the fluid all along. I now wonder if all those owners that had their car torn apart and TC replaced, was not necessary. ???

I have a 2015 and had the T/C replaced at 10K miles due to the shudder and RPM movement. Since the new T/C, which was replaced in early 2016, the transmission has been flawless and I now have 40K miles on the car. I have had no transmission flushes since the new transmission fluid was added at the time of the T/C replacement.

Yeah, I am hoping for a recall too.
For now Im biding my time
2016 8300 miles car was in the desert till I got it.
At the first hint of shudder I will take it in.
If not before, on my own dime.
There is a link for the TSB online now but its $15 to look at it, and its not a pdf so I cant download it.
I did take about 20 screen shots though.
Link to $15 TSB 18-na-355 is here if anyone is interested, I am sure it will be available for free soon enough, there are different procedures for different vehicles in the TSB:
Can you post the screen shots of the TSB that you took?
John
Here ya go. I only screen shotted the Corvette stuff. There are multiple procedures for multiple vehicles.
I think they all uploaded but one may be missing.
EDIT : Yes one missing, posted next post, figure out where it slots in by time stamp.

I had my car flushed with the new fluid at the dealer today and he gave me a copy of TSB # 18-NA-355. The file was too big to post so I broke it up into two parts as it is 29 pages. Part 1 is pages 1-15 and part 2 is pages 16-29.
There's plenty of anecdotal evidence that besides the fluid issue, the AFM system may be the real culprit or at least add to the problem because the constant shifting from V8 to V4 eventually screws up the clutches inside the TC. My 2016 developed the shudder around 6K miles. I had the triple flush done and the problem returned in about 1K miles. The dealer replaced the TC under warranty and when I got it back I installed a Range module like many of us have. This plugs into the ODB and defeats the AFM system but does not have any permanent effect on the programming so there's no warranty issue. The module costs about 175 bucks and you should buy it direct from Range instead of Amazon which may be cheaper but you might get a re-manufactured or older version which had some problems a couple of years ago. If you pull the module the car goes right back to normal operation. I'm now at 13K+ miles and no shudder
Looks like it's a triple flush procedure just like one of the previous TSBs.
And when the shudder comes back again, they will introduce the quadruple flush with fluid revision #4 including Colonel Sanders 11 special herbs and spices. That should put GM only a few months and a couple of flushes away from when most of the 8L90 transmissions will have their warranty flushed away
Next the voodoo revision TSB will be released requiring the tech to run around shaking chicken feathers and chanting the names of past GM CEOs while doing the flush.
My Z06 has been running with a Range module since i took delivery in March 2016 and it is shudder free.

Funny post, ( colonel Sanders ). Your story is encouraging. How many miles on your vehicle now ?

Could flushing/changing the transmission fluid be anymore complicated! There are so many steps I’m not reassured your average mechanic can’t screw it up.

Except they are using the new fluid that does not absorb moisture which GM believes is the root cause of the problem. Do I believe it, no. Over the last few years they have come out with revised torque converters, I think a revised transmission and several TSBs related to the shudder and nothing has worked. Time will tell whether this works.
After reading the new TSB numerous times I'm a little baffled that on the 'Corvette' section they say to remove and drain the ATF from the transmission pan. Usually you get ~5 qts out. Then they say to put back in 8 qts ??? How can this amount even go in? Could this be a misprint? I would expect the excess to come out the overflow tube or blow out a seal when you run the engine and shift through the gears. ??????

If you read page 25,26 and 27 of the TSB you will see that they do a triple flush on the Corvettes with this new flush machine. Not sure how it works exactly but they did it to my car yesterday and it has fixed the shudder problem for now. Time will tell how long it lasts and if it comes back again I will let the dealer do another flush.
Anyone know when the factory began filling with the new ATF?
Still looking for an answer to this post. I think most of us late model A8 owners are getting tentative over the bad news comments supposedly on the older transmission fluid issues.
