I turned 65 2 weeks ago. Just had a 3 level lumbar laminectomy and fusion. I asked my Dr if I would still be able to get in and out of my Vette. He laughed and said it shouldn't be a problem at all. I hope so, because I don't see another car out there that would do it for me.
Happy B'day.

Happy Birthday! Don't Sell It! Enjoy It! Drive It! You can't take it with you when you pass. My father kept a 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible in the garage and rarely drove it. It only had 40,000 miles on it when he passed in 2017. We ended up selling it to my wife's Great uncle for $9,000. I don't think it moved the last two years my Father was alive. He could have drove it but chose not too. Drive it and Enjoy it!

Happy Birthday great looking car
Myself at 60 and my two brother in-laws own corvettes
Two years ago I talked my 80 father in-law in purchasing his first corvette a 2015 stingray.
He loves it and doesn't ever plan on selling it,
We all enjoy going for cruise as a family outing.
Have a great day

Funny you should say that. Of all the choices out there, I struggle to find more than a couple of cars I would consider buying if I were in the market. I would like to drive a Porsche before I die though....LOL

If you actually do think about getting rid of it every day maybe it is time.

I'm turning 69 this Saturday....no big deal. But almost every day I think about selling my 2017 GS and getting something easier to get in and out of. But then I walk out to the garage and see this and say.....why????? It's going be very hard for me to drive anything else. It makes me feel like a kid again every time I drive it. I guess someday I'll move into something more sedate but not today. I guess I can always drive the wife's Lexus....save the wave....maybe I should start prepping the wife for the C8.....LOL

I faced the same situation (76), my wife had to assist me when exiting or entering the vette. After finally facing the fact that it was time to move on (2014 black vert), I started looking at muscle cars that would accommodate my need for pure brute HP. Looked at Mustang, Camaro and finally settled on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat (707 HP). Easy to enter and exit and what a blast to drive. It was time for me to move on and I still get that big smile on my face when I drive the Hellcat.
PS: you will know when it is time to pull trigger.

To all my fellow aging boomers here: congrats. Getting old isn't so bad , considering the alternative.
I'm 73 and still able to enjoy my M7 Stingray as god and GM intended.
Totally agree concerning the therapeutic benefits of owning and driving my Corvette.
I found that adjusting the exit position on the memory seat as high as possible helped a lot.
Just one grunt getting in and two groans getting out .
As we all know too well, aging requires lots of compromises, the car we choose to drive doesn't have to be one of them.
So drive whatever excites you and enjoy the road ahead

I know how you feel, I'm 71, and getting in and out, is little slow but when behind the wheel I feel like a kid again, and just living the dream.
