Default Over ride interior lights

Hello, and thanking you in advance,
Is there an over ride to keep my head lights from coming on when I open the door ?
Also,I want to keep the door open on my '19 GS without the interior lights staying on. Is there a switch on the dash somewhere.
Thank you again,
Rich K ( Vette Ski)

Yes there is a setting in the menu to keep your headlights from coming on when you open the door.

Try keeping your door open for 5 or 10 mins. I suspect they will turn off. This is true for the rear hatch.

Yes, they do go off after a short period of time. How can I change the setting so they don't come on at all. Is there a setting to shut off the interior lights? Where is that darned little button when you close the door it pushes in the button and turns off the dome light ?
Guess you can tell my age from all that
Thank you,
Rich K ( Vette Ski)

Bump. Yes, I would like to know this too. Sometimes I like to get into my car in privacy without all the interior lights going on.

There is a dial beside the drivers HVAC far left vent. Turn the dial clockwise to adjust brightness up/on and counterclockwise to adjust brightness down/off.

Give it a try. May not work exactly as you want but it's the only thing available for the light control for the dash, courtesy and interior lights. The reading lamps in the overhead console can be turned on off by pressing the switch beside them.

No, there is no way to stop the lights from coming on when you open the door and the switch
is built in to the door latch on the B pillar.

I believe that dial only dims the dashboard lights while driving, etc. But it won't turn "off" the interior door and dome lights when opening a door.

May not work exactly like OP wants but there is some control.

From the manual.

Interior Lighting

Interior Light Control
The **** for this feature is on the
left side of the instrument panel.
Turn clockwise or counterclockwise
to brighten or dim the lights. Turn
the **** completely clockwise to
turn the interior lights on.

Courtesy Lamps

When any door or the hatch/trunk is
opened, the interior lamps will
come on.
To turn the courtesy lamps on or off,
turn the instrument panel brightness
**** completely clockwise or
counterclockwise.
