I'm pleased with the way the C7 turned out. As to that design concept - some parts of it I could live with, but the back end, the amount of time it takes to open the doors, and the front end just do not do it for me.
Interesting design! I don't care for the front and rear end conditions however the rest isn't bad. The power doors and hood is cool, however they would have potential to be problematic. Rear deck and window has strong '63 Split Window influence. They only used the split window one year in the C2 because of blind spot issues which would be the same for this design.

my thoughts too. However, the front looks good to me.
I remember seeing a photoshop of that same car in a early proposal of the ME car. It was re-proportioned to give it a shorter hood and a longer rear. In addition, it was presented as a Cadillac. This was at least a year ago, maybe longer.
I saw this concept at the Texas state fair or the Dallas auto show, I forget which, ahead of the C7 release and I thought some of the design elements were cool like the split rear window and the stingray badge. I am not surprised that of those two elements only the badge made production as it was obvious that rear visibility would be nil. Concept vehicles are built just as the name implies to test design and engineering concepts and to bring attention to upcoming models with eye catching looks that stir discussion and love/hate reactions from the public. I know seeing the car sparked my interest in the C7 even though I was happy with my C6 at the time.
