Exia, that's probably not the case. Most like this error is transient and not even on your phone. By the time you reboot the phone the problem has fixed itself. Your solution is like the Windows solution to everything - reboot. That's why I run Linux.
Saw this as an email signature and laughed my *** off:
Microsoft Windows has detected that your mouse has moved.
Do you want to reboot to effect changes?
Not to derail the thread since OP solved his problem but thought I'd chime in to say that my Spotify issues are 100% phone related. I'll connect with AA, open Spotify and it will be blank, play the music with no audio or have a message on the screen saying "something went wrong". This doesn't happen often, maybe once a month. Once one of these issues occurs the problem doesn't go away until I reboot my phone. Doesn't matter if I shut off the car, give up and try again the next time I use the car etc. The problem is on my phone and resolves when I reboot it. There's a reason the windows method works often. Software bugs out. Weird things start to happen if a computer, phone etc have been left on for days or months at a time. Why it happens, who knows, my apps get updated but as of January my phone no longer receives android updates but this issue has been happening to me for over 2 years. Its the only issue I've ever had with AA in my car and since OP had the same error message as me I figured rebooting was worth a shot.
Oh, rebooting often helps. What it doesn't do is get to the root of the problem. Plus it's extremely disruptive. It is far better to whittle down the problem and either fix it, perhaps by googling a much more intelligent question since you didn't just take a sledge hammer to the thing, or report it to others more accurately so that the problem can be fixed.
I've had the same issue, and will try this solution. However, the last time it happened the advice was to clear the cache, which I've now forgotten how to do. Not sure what's wrong with defaria.

I can assure you that there's nothing wrong with defaria but since you said that I've decided not to tell you how to clear the cache...
