Validation of my C7 purchase just occurred last night
Last night, I took my wife on a date-night to the next town over where they were showing the movie "The green book". It was almost 40 degrees and absolutely sunny the whole day, so we broke out the Corvette. My wife had previously not been very enthusiastic about me buying the car but since it represented a quarter-century of saving up for it, she didn't stand in the way. She's never been a huge car-person, you see... But this was only her second ride in the car. We had fun getting over to the theater, and we saw the movie (Turned out to not be a chick flick!), and afterwards, we walked back to the car where a group of four ladies were piling into their Buick next to the Vette. One of them stopped my wife as she was getting in and said "Excuse me, but can we please just exchange cars for one day? Just one day?" ...and I held up one finger and said "Some day", and everyone laughed at the joke. As we were pulling out of the theater parking lot, Laura said "Man, why didn't we do this five years ago? ...and I want a chance to drive it".
Heck, that never happened in the thirty years I've owned the Trans Am. The T/A was always the "other woman". This Corvette however, maybe it can be something that draws us closer? It was my hope that we could use it together for SCCA Solo II autocrossing, Lake Michigan circle touring, cars & coffee, and stuff like that. So last night portends well !

Great story it sure makes owning a Corvette a lot more enjoyable when your better half shares your enthusiasm.

I'm glad to hear that your wife is coming around. My wife is not crazy about my Corvette. She's just not a car person. To her, it is an expensive, superfluous toy. That's okay though. She likes going to plays and taking vacations. I don't like plays or vacations, but I do them with her because I know she enjoys them. The bonus is that if she wants to go to a play, we take the Corvette.

What a great story. Now, you can both enjoy the car. I'm a lucky guy as my wife is a car gal. She has loved all of our "play" toys. Heck she even enjoys talking with folks that comment on the car.
BTW, beautiful car.
