Default Flat bottom steering wheel?

I just found a 2015 C7 with a flat bottom steering wheel. I though those did not come out until 2016? Is it common for owners to "upgrade" steering wheels?

TIA

Correct, 2015 had a round wheel from factory. It is common for people to 'upgrade' to the flat bottom wheel.

^^^
BUT question the word, "Upgrade" as to me it's foolish. Fine for an F1 that doesn't turn more than 90 degrees.

Glad they didn't want to be a Dragster Poser!

Thank you. Do you happen to know if the performance data recorder is standard on Z51 in 2015? It's listed on the Monroney label under "entertainment". I thought thta was an option. And since were on that topic- does the PDR include the rear facing "valet camera" ?

Default Yup

replaced the wheel on my '14 with a factory flat bottomed for less than 2 bills; being 6'2", half legs it's been a great way to avoid my knees...the look really doesn't matter to me but the
extra inch or so has been very helpful and very reasonably priced at the time (about a year ago)

3LT trims came with PDR standard.

It is an option for any other trim as far as I know. The rear facing camera is on all Corvette models and trims. It's just a backup camera and has nothing to do with PDR or Valet Mode.

PDR is bundled with navigation and standard on 3LT. Optional on 1LT and 2LT. Doesn't matter if it's Z51 or not.

There is no rear-facing interior camera in any C7.

Yeah, but all that does is record video, and lock the glovebox and center display cubby. It doesn't limit performance at all.

Total fad item (flat bottom wheel) as far as I'm concerned. That is unless the driver is grotesquely HUGE and places all the control components as closely together as possible. Hope it's more important to you, than me. I'd pay extra NOT to have one.

I much prefer it. I'm 6' 3" and 190 lbs. I wouldn't be able to get in and out of the car without moving the wheel if it didn't have a flat bottom.

It doesn't hinder those that don't need it. I don't know why people dislike them.

I like the flat bottom wheel because it’s far less likely for me to scratch the leather with my pocket knife clip getting in and out of the car. I tend to like the wheel sitting low.

There have been a number of posts here on the forum where members have changed to the flat bottom steering wheel. Not a bad change if you like the look and want to spend the money.
