Picked up this gem today, GS 2LT for 60 with 0% financing. I've always been a huge fan of the Corvette, in particular the Grand Sport given it's unique heritage and rebel background as a car not allowed to be designed in the first place. Back in a car show in early 2018 I snapped this picture:
Back then, buying one of these was only a dream after a few failed attempts at getting one and falling through due to illness, family issues or job loss.
Today, this was waiting for me at the receiving bay:
Joining the rest of the stable:
Already put 200 miles on the car, what an amazing machine that lives up to all of my expectations. Happy to finally be a part of this family!
Great deal on a great looking ride..Welcome aboard...this is the right place to find out more about your C7 ...glad your dream came true as well...imagine siting in the exact same car just a few months ago and now ripping through the curves with your own...not hard at all to get hooked!
The "cool" part is the vehicle had some damage on the side skirts from test drives, so I got them to upgrade me to carbon flash ones for free, and someone had scraped the steering wheel with their keys, phone or buckle while getting out so instead of just getting me the standard one I asked for the alcantara one, for free
Needless to say I'm beyond stoked to drives this beaute around. Can't wait for break-in period to be done!
Quick question as a new owner... I've noticed shifting gears seems a bit.. I dunno, rough? The engagement on the shifter is notchy and nowhere near as smooth as I'd hoped. Once the car is warmer as well as the rest of the liquids it becomes a little more compliant. But none of the manual sports cars I've owned have this feeling... could this be down to the new bushings and transmission/clutch?
I was looking into the MGW short shifter anyway, but was curious if this is a common occurrence.

Cheers!
Congrats! I just got my first Vette last week, a 2017 manual Stingray w/ 5000 miles on it and what sold me on getting the manual was how easy and smooth it was when shifting (as opposed to the brand new 2019 Camaro SS manual that I test drove at the same time that was very "rough" and herky jerky).
So, I wonder if it is just because it is new?
