Thanks Mike for such a fun delivery thread. I too struggled picking out a favorite(s), but no surprise, came up with these.

Mike,
Please tell us what's going on here; is this Mr. Konner the Chev. dealer in New Jersey that you worked for years ago? Is it an Open House at the dealership, , and about when was this event?

Thank you!

Left to Right: Mrs. Florence Konner (Malcolm's wife), Zora Arkus Duntov, Elfie Duntov...Zora and Elfie came to the Konner Corvette show every Summer and were guests at the Konner home for the week.
Larry Shinoda and other Chevrolet big wheels would also spend the week. That was an autograph table set up inside the showroom.

Zora wearing a Malcolm Konner shirt and Malcolm Konner jr wearing a Zora shirt.

Zora Duntov and Gary Konner.

That is me at Konner Auto circa 1986.

I remember the "Hot Chevy" Indy car race car. Actually, it was CART back then. I was at the Meadowlands when it ran that course. It had a NA Chevy small block V8, Sounded great but didn't fair well against the likes of Penske, If my memory is correct, this car preceded the Chevy Indy engines that dominated CART around 1990. This is back in the day when Buick also ran their V6 in CART cars. OMG that's a long time ago.
I went to all of those races at the Meadowlands. Too bad it didn't survive.

~Back in the day Konner Chevrolet was delivering approx 650 New Corvettes per year...and there were 6,300+/- Chevrolet dealerships Nationwide...Now there are approx 3,100 Chevrolet dealerships.

Me and an x girlfriend in the 1986 timeframe. I brought a 1955 Olds for a sock hop at the dealership as one of the Konner girls was having her Sweet 16 birthday.

Great post! Congrats on your first ZR1 school and the deliveries this week!

My favorite pic this week is a real jaw dropper...imagine the storm that caused this scenario to unfold as it did.

The silver Z06 with the two-tone interior and chrome wheels. I would like to own one just like that someday.

I thought it looked great, would like to have one myself, I'd probably get 3 pedals given a choice though. Sharp car and I'm guessing it might be a little easier to take care of vs say black or blue

It was like that 6 days a week.....many people treated the Corvette salon as a Museum to visit.
