Default Launch Control

I have a question about Launch Control. 16' Z51, Mag Ride, A8. Put it in Track Mode, Hit the PTM 2 x's and the different modes come up in the window. I scroll over and put the box around Race, is that all you do? Am I supposed to put the box around Race (or one of the other modes) and push the PTM button again?

So I went out, stopped the car, put in Track Mode, hit the PTM 2x's, move the box to Race. Pressed hard on the brake, gas to the floor. RPM went to 1800, then released the brake. Is that correct?

Yes they did. That happened when I was there in 2014. Decided then that I would never do it on mine.

Was doing it correctly, that 1800 RPM seemed low, evidently not.

A friend was using launch control on his C7 and totaled the car when he hit a small patch of something at about 70 mph at the drag strip.
I'm willing to turn off traction control, but want the Stabilitrac (or whatever they call it now) working for me whenever I accelerate hard.

Is there any way to get launch control will full stability help?

Launch control is my only complaint about the C7. I know the procedure for LC it’s just whoever came up with the sequence did a **** poor job. It should have been as simply as depress and hold the button for 3 seconds and it puts you right into LC mode. They way it is now its USELESS at a drag strip.

Jim , I don't have mag ride so I just put mine in track mode then press the TC twice quickly , dash responds with TC off Stabila Track on . I use it all the time at my track as it's the only way to.get a consistent launch as the track prep is sporadic at best . 1.7 1.8 60 ft times with run flats ......plus I can "tree" the other guy without delighting because it's so consistent. Some say it could be faster just rolling into throttle but no matter how many times I have tried I either blow the tires away or have a launch that is slower than the LC launch .
