Default TPMS alarm when changing modes

This afternoon, I got to play in my 5000 mile Stingray on some mountain roads. I switched from Tour to Sport mode and the TPMS Alarm lit up on the dash.

Did I do this wrong are is there some other problem?

Never had that happen to mine but I would say your issue is in the TPMS. Might want to get it checked at a dealer.

Are their requirements for psi while i sport vs other modes? For example, tour mode might allow a lower pressure because it is designed for a smoother ride, whereas track might have a different threshold for track use.

Doubt it. Recommended street/highway tire pressure is 30 cold. Recommended track tire pressure is 26 cold. Both in the OM. The TPMS warning going off was more than likely coincidental with his changing drive modes.

Default Tried Again

Took the same drive today, I switched from Tour to Sport at a lower altitude, and did not see any TPMS alarms. I think the problem is the buggy nature of auto computers, sometimes they don’t clear all previous data on startup. We use to see this sometimes with industrial controllers. But anyway all seems well now, and the car was a blast to drive on the high alltitude curve’s.
