Battery replacement
I recommend removing the ground cable at the chassis end as well as the battery post so you can get it completely out of the way. Likewise, as others have said its best to completely remove the fuse block connected to the + terminal. I just bent it out of the way but in hindsight I should have removed all the wires and set it aside. Wrestling it out of the hole is a chore since the engineers undoubtedly spent several hours of CAD time determining the absolute smallest opening possible. After reassembly I got "top not secure message", "manual top operation only" and had to re-index windows. Lowering and raising the top cleared the msgs.
Thanks to all the previous posters, I studied them and it made the job easier (about 45 minute job).
