When you get to your destination stop at a self service car wash they will hose right off.
Interesting method to protect the front end.
The Novistretch Bra is not a bad solution - it will keep most of the front of the car clean and can be washed when it gets dirty.
I keep a wet Griots wipe-down towel in a ziplock bag and use at stops to get the bugs off. The Novistretch bra works well and the the them for the mirrors.
If your car gets plastered with love bugs use mr clean magic eraser to remove them. It does NOT scratch the paint, just wet the love bugs and eraser and scrub them off.
Dryer anti-static sheets work like magic on love bugs. Just get the dryer sheets damp and then rub lightly. Some contend that the anti-static compounds in the sheets can damage finish, while others say the method is totally safe. I take the precaution of soaping and rinsing the affected areas immediately after I’ve used the dryer sheets, but have not done anything extreme like re-waxing. After several years of doing this during the seriously bad Texas love bug season, I haven’t seen any ill effects on paint or finish. While I admit that I am not hyper-picky about finish (I don’t wax or detail my cars), I do keep them clean and would notice significant deterioration of the finish.
May and September each year here in central Florida . they are worse in the afternoon for sure. as others have said they should be gone in two more weeks.
I live in North Central Florida, near Gainesville. The bugs are thick...The best thing I have found to remove them is any of the spray detailers. I give them a quick spray. let is sit for a short time, and the bugs come right off. For the glass, I use Invisa Glass cleaner. Spray, let it sit, then with a kitchen sponge, I remove the remains. Hope this helps!
I currently use Novistretch but this product also has me intrigued for long distance trips and track days. I would use it in combination with the Novistretch to provide some additional chip protection on the trips

I'm glad that works for you, but there is no way I would use one of those on a car.
Sure. That's why a Novistretch works so well. No bugs get into the radiator area.
Thanks, most here seem to worry about a paint mess but I wonder how many get in the area that cleaners won't do a thing like the radiator area.. Thanks again, Im doing the S T R E T C H bra

I think most are concerned about the radiator too, but its standard of cleanliness is different. You have to get nearly everything off the paint, while you just need to keep airflow ok for the radiator. That’s pretty easy to do with air blasting if you have a compressor, or water blasting if you don’t. True, a bra-type thing with screen would keep the radiator cleaner, but at least in some opinions, they look pretty bad.

True story if its a short trip. I would not drive for an hour or more with these beggars clogging up the radiator. I could care less about them on the paint and who cares about how the bra looks if its only to prevent radiator clog???
