I bought without on the above theory, but of course never seem to get around to changing out the exhaust. NPP is the simpler solution, though frankly when you get into it with the standard exhaust it isn't exactly quiet.

Definitely worth it. I added Corsa exhaust to my last two Corvettes (C5 and C6). The NPP on my C7 Stingray was less $$$ than Corsa would have been. Plus, it looks better than regular exhaust, not to mention the enhanced sound.

Personally I like it.
This is one of those posts that should go into the funny post archive. Classic.

Cliffp;

To me, it is the best value option of all. You get a great sound out of the exhaust that is controllable.

Moreover, you enjoy 5 additional horse power and 5 additional foot-pounds of torque too.
Lastly, the great look in the rear with the large polished 4" exhaust pipes.

Many thanks,

Ray

Good move. Note that this does not prevent you from getting an after market system that works with the NPP system on your car. I did so and I know other forum members have done so as well. Borla makes systems that works with the factory NPP system. Granted, they are more expensive than changing out the non-NPP system but worth it in my view. I am not a big fan of the "trumpet" look of the tips on the factory system. Love the look of the Borla S-Type Borla Axle Back system (with Ceramic Black tips) on my 2019 Stingray. Sounds even better than it looks. Dealer installed and has no impact on your factory warranty (I have that in writing from my dealer Service Director). https://www.borla.com/ Watch the video at this site: https://www.borla.com/products/c7_co...__11855cb.html (Click on the red arrow)

With the money I saved by not getting the NPP, I was able to add black wheels and red calipers to my order instead.

NPP is a great option if you desire capability to adjust the exhaust sound through a range from stealth to track notes. In my personal opinion, well worth the extra $$$

If you are going to sell the stingray in a few years, GET IT because of resale value.
If you are going to keep the stingray for let's say 20 years, GET IT, it would cost you $50 a year to have it.

If you aren't going to go aftermarket for exhaust, NPP is a requirement in my book.

Good pick. Its not about the 5 hp or the bigger tips or the cost of the option. Its about the sound - you will be very happy the first time you switch from touring to track. It makes a HUGE difference in sound.

I am very happy every time I start the NPP exhaust in sport mode.

And when you get complacent with the NPP in Track mode and find that it's still not loud enough, it sounds perfect (IMHO) downstream of some long tube headers and high flow cats.
