If it is hydraulic, does that mean it requires some kind of compressed air system to function or is it merely electric where you plug it into the wall? I like the way they "store" by hanging on the wall of a garage. That would be very handy for me because I only have a one-car garage and already have shelving, racks, etc., etc., that take up space.
I definitely need to look into a set of these things.
It is all self contained with what you get in the purchase. it is controlled by a small power unit where you connect the hoses to and then to the individual lifts. the only thing you need separate from what's included is 1)some automatic transmission fluid to fill the resevoir 2) the ability to fill each lift with 50PSI. so whether you have a compressor/bike pump or whatever. and that's just a one time need, from then on it's all self contained

Love my 7000 because I also use it on my Chevy Avalanche. Have not used it on the Vette yet but will soon. I push them to the center of the parking space in the garage and park the Vette over them. No issues unless you are lowered. Best investment I have made. Used it today to replace my EVAP canister on the Avalanche. Easy and some what portable. Great investment for those that don't have space for a real lift.
So for those of you with this QuickJack, do you trust it enough to get under your car or do you still put Jack Stands under for added insurance? Reason I ask is that I've only seen this jack in photo's, the locking mechanism looks a little suspect. I plan to go to a Costco and try to see one in person to see how herky it is. I will most like still make the purchase but use jack stands as added protection until I have built up my confidence in the jack.
I feel safe under the car. The jack and locking mechanism is solid. I'm not sure you will find this at a Costco store. I think it's an online item only.

Thanks for that! Is there anyone in the Pensacola, FL area that has one and would not mind showing it off??? I'm not a very good online buyer, I still like to touch and see whatever it is I am buying. Thanks In Advance.

I would highly recommend you use jack stands at all times. YM (and Life) MV
I would highly recommend using the pucks the square blocks are useable but it’s not 100% contact nor level on the jack point within the chassis. I use all 4 points for raising the car, the locking system is very intuitive and safe. Using jack stands seems redundant and silly, especially since the system has manual safety features.

There's nothing redundant or silly about having as many backup safety measures as possible. I've seen a few posts where these things have failed.
I've been looking to buy one and I found the same one at Home Depot free shipped to my door was the best price. But, as for me, I'd but jack stands under it anyway. Just better safe than sorry.

It's all fun and games until a car falls on you...

I need to research this. Was not aware of the Quickjacks manual safety features.

There are 2 manual lock positions, it has a free moving sliding bar when it goes up and you will set it at either position 1 or position 2. It is on the outer most part of the system. Go to the website they have a good video explanation
