Default Anyone install Akrapovic Evolution Line

Has anyone installed the Akrapovic Evolution Line Exhaust on their car?
On a GS or Stingray (a non Z06 car).
If so, what do you think? Worth the money, or just a mild improvement over stock exhaust?
thanks for any info.

Hmmm. almost a trolling question... no offense meant. Mine is an unaltered '14 z51. I installed a Corsa X-pipe and the Akra Titanium, so it's not the "Evolution" with the Akra X-pipe. Improvement? I dunno. SOTP, I don't feel a damn thing. Sound--it sounds a helluva lot better. It's a straightforward installation; not much to challenge even a neophyte so long as the car is up off the ground high enough.

I was really lucky and found a used system for ~$3300 (as I recall) and the money wasn't pledged to anything else so I took a flier and did it. Still, for 3G's, NOT $5,000 mind you, but 3... would I do it again?? Truly, I dunno; it definitely sounds good but I was just lucky to have the extra windfall at the right time otherwise I think I woulda been disappointed. But I'll say this--now that it's in, I won't take it off unless I sell the car. That is to say, if someone wanted to pay me $3300 to take it off, I wouldn't do it--just so's I could avoid the hassle--but when I sell the car, I'll recoup that money. I guess I'd say that at full retail, I'd pass on it.

Not a troll question at all.
I am from Canada, near Toronto and also found a used system.
Even used, the seller wanted a lot of money for it.
I was just wondering if was really worth it, for that kind of money. That’s all.
It looks good, but I have never heard it in person (heard sound clips on the internet, but not the same thing).
I do appreciate your feed back, and your thoughts on it. Reading your reply, gives me more information, and that is what I was hoping for.
Thank you,

I think its worth it. I love it.

Always up to the person and if they think its worth it. I'm a YES person here!

If you don't like the used price, maybe you'll like our new price?

Welllll, judging from the response, I guess it wasn't a trolling question. I expected gobs of folks to hammer the thread with responses that "you can't go wrong, you'll love it" etc.

Lookit where I am (Mississippi); just by the dictates of circumstance and surroundings I'm CHEEEP. I found a used system for $3Gs + $300 shipping, so I bit. I've never heard the car drive away since I'm the only stick driver I know, but inside the car, it sounds "good". But mebbe I'm the only guy who isn't impressed at the sound for $3300. After I get a tune I had planned, I hope but will never be able to prove that the Akra is more helpful than OEM. I was sure disappointed by the SOTP gauge but the reviews I read beforehand kind of prepped me for that.

Thanks for the input and info.
Definitely not a “troll” if I was, I would have started the thread by “just installed it, it is great! It is the best! Amazing and so on.
I opened up to who has it, what do they think.... good or bad..
i did get some PM’s with some feedback and their opinions so I did get some food info.
Thanks for your reply too! It does help to get some real life opinions when buying something for that kind of money, that I have never heard.
May car is a GS with an Auto 8 so, I am not sure that it would have the same impact as it would on a M7 or Z06.
Still thinking about my options.
Thanks again!
