Do targets/sensors attach to wheels or tires or both. Any chance of wheel damage?

Yes there is depending on the machine.
Older equipment will clamp to the rim and can leave marks.

Some clamp to wheels and some to tires. In the right hands the wheel clamp style won't leave any marks.

Some of the tire clamp setups can't be used on lowered cars or cars with little tire to fender gap.

I've seen the Hunter ones up close and don't think there is any chance of wheel damage.... it clamps to the tire and the part facing the wheel is plastic.
