We had a huge issue with birds (a couple different species) continually building nests atop our large front bay window. One rubber snake tossed up there five years ago and I haven't even seen a bird up there since. Give it a try - you can usually pick up a fake rubber snake in a toy store pretty cheaply. Maybe get a couple of them. Good luck.

Try the fake snakes, they have worked for me in other situations.
I also used to work for a bread company, and birds would get into the warehouse and get at the product (all bread companies have this issue). They would put nets up, and this seemed to work. Catches some, and I think dissuades others.
Good luck.

I am no expert in this. However, I have battled birds, squirrels and ******* chipmunks. All the above hazing techniques work for a while, then the birds get used to it and continue their rampage. Since you know this is bird damage there are some deterrents you can use. This one is the stinkiest one, but works
1. Take Beef bouillon cubes and eggs place a water-filled bucket in an area where it won’t be disturbed, and add one dozen eggs -- without the shell -- and four beef bouillon cubes. After mixing the ingredients for several seconds, cover the bucket and allow the mixture to rot for several days. The rotten smell tells you when the concoction is ready. Before using, add 2 tablespoons of dish soap for every gallon of deer repellent; then transfer the liquid to a squirt bottle.
2. Birds dislike the smell of hairspray, perfume and after-shave—they can be toxic. While birds possess olfactory glands, enabling them to smell, they do not rely on this sense as much as humans or other animals. The smell of scented candles, aerosols sprays, and air freshener wall plug-ins can be deadly to birds. Many of these products, particularly the plug-ins contain a high concentration of essential oils, which can irritate bird’s eyes, throat, and nostrils. In some cases, they may also suppress the central nervous system, causing death. (Perfect!)

go the easy route....
Use micro fishing line... they can not see it and will run into and can not fly through it... make it like a spiders nest or just up and down... I think after awhile they will stop coming and learn to stay away... I read about it on a boat forum, the birds were getting in the boats and making nests..
Just remember its there as you can also get caught in it
