Keeping your C7?
Now that the C8 has been officially released how many have decided to hold on to their C7? Personally, I just traded mine not because of the C8 but for other reasons. I am underwhelmed by the C8 and feel the C7 has a better look but I am a traditionalist and favor the look of a FE sports car.

I knew before the anouncement that I didnt want a mid-engine car. IMO this puts the C8 in a different category from the C7, they are no longer the same car. and honestly the C8 is no Ferrari or Mclaren. (yeah I know it doesnt cost 300K either...) I've said it before and I'll say it again, the C7 is the last and best of the traditional Corvette and I'm gonna be proud to own drive and show off my C7 for years to come.

I will have a c8 in my garage just not yet. As far as the C8 love I want the roadster though.

Maybe in a few years. I will wait for discounts, wide body models and the kinks to be worked out. Let the guys who cant wait pay above sticker and identify the systemic problems.

Keeping it until everything calms down. By that time, the C8/Z06 should be available (2022?).

I'll keep the C7 I have for a few reasons:
- It is paid off
- It is tastefully heavily modded
- My dog owns riding the back - no room for him in any C8
- India is dangerously underemployed and my employer is laying off in the US and outsourcing droves to India.

My '19 GS stays. Not ruling a C8 out, but am underwhelmed by the interior and exterior, seeing it in person may change that. Performance numbers are spectacular and that alone will sell all that GM can produce at least over the near term.

Right now hanging on to my 2019 Z06 M7 Convertible at least until the C8 comes out with a Z like version powerwise.

I will be keeping my Z51 M7 for some time. I just ceramic coated it myself which is supposed to last 2 years. Seeing that they won't be making a manual unless there's an act of god, I'll wait for a GS if the DCT proves to be worth getting. Being without a manual just makes me sad

I’ll never say never, but I’m more excited about adding a barely used c7 Z06 to my garage than getting a c8. The c7 was an evolution, the c8 is a revolution. Nothing for me to rush into. Much yet to be discovered and corrected.

Overall I like what I see in the C8 (although there are some things I am not wild about - like the climate control area on the console). But I will be keeping my C7 for quite a while. I just got it and love the car. I do not have to be one of the first to own the C8.

I will wait 2 yrs to purchase the C8 GM ALWAYS add's something extra to the model....As far as keeping my 2016 3LT Z51 Convertiblle, I won't live long enough to see it appreciate, so I will give it to my Grandson with INSTRUCTIONS not to sell it till he is 50 yrs old...

Hmm?
We will wait two years maybe three to let the car sort itself out. One place I hate to be with any Corvette? The service drive.

Still not a fan of the Camaro back end, but I like the car as a whole. I hope they keep the manual option. I know the car will be faster with the DCT compared to a manual, nothing replaces the experience of 3 pedal driving.
